The Produce Shed is now closed for the season.  See you in 2012!

Bushel weight is 53 lbs.  A pound equal approximately 3 cups of chopped tomatoes.

When picking up bushel orders of tomatoes, you will need to bring boxes for them.  The styrofoam containers the tomatoes are weighed out in are NOT allowed to leave the Produce Shed.  No exceptions.

DO NOT TAKE tomatoes from other the Styrofoam containers.  Remember:  the tomatoes in the containers have already been weighed and your order is weighed heavy. 

1 pound of tomatoes will yield 2-1/2 to 3 cups of processed tomatoes. 

A bushel of tomatoes  weighs 53 pounds.  The bushel you receive will actually weigh 5-7 pounds more.  Mary Ann weighs the bushels "heavy" to allow for an occasional bruised or bad tomato.  You are charged only the bushel price.
