Storage Tips for Pumpkins:

• Wash the pumpkin in a very mild cholorine bleach solution - 1 cup of bleach per 1 gallon of water.  This will destroy any bacteria that could cause the pumpkin to spoil.
• Allow the pumpkin to dry completely.
• Store the pumpkin in a cool, dry  & dark place (if possible).
• Avoid storing pumpkins in hot, humid places.
• Pumpkins are best stored on a board or a piece of cardboard.
• Do not store a pumpkin on a cement floor as it can cause the pumpkin to spoil.
• Do not store the pumpkin on a rug.  If the pumpkin were to spoil, it would ruin the rug.
